Nissha Medical Technologies is seeking a Senior Planner who will be responsible for planning production and purchasing products in a mixed-mode, capital intensive environment, while balancing demand of the products with supply.
Essential Functions
- Develop detailed production plans for specific products in quantity and timing to support the Production Plan as developed for the aggregated Marketing Groups generating requirements in the assigned area using a two-level master schedule.
- Lead for supply and demand picture on assigned commodities working closely with all operation’s groups, sales, and marketing to create a schedule for short to long term planning.
- React to the increase variation from forecast and/or customer demand to take the appropriate actions within the supply chain.
- Review of part availability and capacity based on demand to support assigned product lines on a 3-month rolling schedule.
- Scheduling material and load on all product lines based on MRP requirements to support the demand and forecast; including date and rescheduling maintenance.
- Maximize inventory turns and minimize inventory carrying cost.
- Facilitate Production Schedule Meetings for assigned product lines.
- Review and make recommendations to balance capacity versus load.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement and MRP enhancements.
- Support ERP projects for data clean up, implementation, and sustainment.
- Provide Customer Service with valid available to promise dates.
- Interact with the Production Team and Buyers to ensure that production schedules can be executed in the planned time frame regarding capacity and material availability.
- Develop and perform maintenance to parameters necessary to support inventory and service level objectives.
Requirements
- 4 year College Degree or minimum of 5 years planning experience
- Above average verbal and written communication skills.
- APICS certification preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills, team player, results oriented in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer Service interface desired.
- Intermediate to Advanced PC skills (spreadsheet, word processing).
